DETAILS: Osher Lifelong Learning Institute presents Holly wood Goes to the Opera with Maestro Giuseppe Albanese, Instructor, Florida Lifelong Learning College. Opera historian Giuseppe Albanese will explore the extraordinary relationship that has developed between Hollywood film-makers and the world of grand opera. Video excerps from more than a dozen films will be shown to illustrate the dramatic, and oft-times humorous, use of famous operatic pieces in some rather unlikely filmic situations. Semester Memberships are $40.00 for all 9 programs and entrance to the other 7 Vermont Osher Institute Programs; single program see is $8.00.
